Barb McLaughlin has over 35 years of experience teaching a holistic exercise program that incorporates principles of Ayurveda. She has over 10,000 hours of teaching experience in the Fitness Industry.

Currently, Barb teaches online Zoom classes and offers multiple videos that are now being offered in the United States, Canada, and Europe. She will soon be offering online courses on practical ways to incorporate principles of Ayurveda to a variety of sports and exercise routines.

While teaching conventional exercise to a large clientele in Fairfield Iowa she had the unique opportunity to be trained by Maharishi Ayurvedic doctors to incorporate principles of Ayurveda into an exercise program. She was able to see directly the profound beneficial transformation for her students and herself.

Barb‘s classes are recommended by Medical doctors and Chiropractors across the country.

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:

Her primary training was from the Director at the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center in Lancaster Massachusetts, with added counsel from Vaidyas (Ayurvedic expert) at the Raj Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center where she was the consultant/trainer for Ayurvedic exercise for several years.

She was the PE teacher for girls at Maharishi school of the Age of Enlightenment where she incorporated principles of blissful exercise into the curriculum.

For the past 30 years she has been the Fitness Trainer for professors, staff, and the local community at Maharishi International University (MIU) in Fairfield Iowa.

Barb teaches dance/fitness instructors the methods for incorporating Ayurvedic principles into a safe and highly effective dance exercise program.

Barb studied with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to become a teacher of Transcendental Meditation. Currently she is an active certified teacher of the TM technique (TM.org)

She studied psychology and health at the University of Washington where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.

She has received certifications from Sports Medicine Clinics, 

the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and has taught at the top athletic clubs in the Seattle area, including Redmond Fitness Center, Seattle Athletic Clubs, and Pacific Nautilus.
