“I started taking Barb’s exercise class in 1990. I had just moved to Fairfield from a southern California beach town where I had constant exercise opportunity year round. I was thrilled to get into regular exercise classes with a certified instructor to stay in shape. Barb would show us the correct form for each exercise and talk to us about staying safe and not getting injured. She would say she wanted us to avoid injury so we could continue exercising with her into our 70s. I would laugh out loud. I thought it was so funny! I was in my forties then. It’s 2021 now. I’m in my 70s and still exercising regularly with Barb in her classes and loving it! When she shows us correct form for each exercise and says she wants us to stay safe and fit so we can be still exercising with her when we’re in our 90s, I don’t laugh. I plan to be there.”
